Energomashspetsstal PJSC continues to participate in the construction of the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey. Today, in the EMSS work shops at different stages of production, there are blanks of parts for the key equipment of the 3rd and 4th power units of the nuclear power plant under construction in Turkey.
In April of this year, the company signed a new contract for the supply of blanks for the 4th power unit of the Akkuyu NPP. According to the contract, EMSS will manufacture and supply to the Customer various products for the main circulation pump, their total weight will be 285 tons. Delivery time for blanks – IV quarter of 2021.
It should be noted, that in addition to blanks for the main circulation pump, EMSS PJSC already has a contract for the supply of blanks for other key equipment of the 4th power unit of the Akkuyu NPP. This contract was signed last year and provides for the manufacture and supply of 75 pieces of blanks for the steam generator, collector, bottom and main circulation pipeline. Total weight of finished products – 1200 tons.
As a reminder, Energomashspetsstal has been supplying blanks for the first nuclear power plant in Turkey since 2016. During this time, Energomashspetsstal PJSC has manufactured and shipped 4,763 tons of products for the key equipment of the 1st and 2nd units of the Akkuyu NPP . The enterprise has manufactured hundreds of blanks for the reactor vessel, steam generators, pressure compensator, main circulation pumping unit (MCPU), main circulation pipeline and other equipment of the nuclear island. Inspectors of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Turkey (NDK) take part in supervisory audits of the enterprise and acceptance inspections of manufactured products together with the customer on an ongoing basis.
The Akkuyu nuclear power plant is being built in the Republic of Turkey on the Mediterranean coast in the Mersin province. The project provides for the construction of four power units with a capacity of 1200 MW each. The service life of each power unit of the Akkuyu NPP is 60 years, with the possibility of extension.
